The Pleasant Garden Fire Department needs your help!  We have been gifted the opportunity to continue the legacy of Donald’s Fire Haven Museum.  Retired Chief Donald Whitaker and his wife Ethel started a firefighting museum in 2003 after 50 years of collecting exhibits that show the rich history of the firefighting profession. Chief Whitaker has served his community in the fire service for 60 years.  Chief Whitaker passed away February 13, 2022 from cancer and had a desire for the museum to continue beyond his lifetime. The Whitaker’s have graciously donated the exhibits to our department, and we are seeking assistance in constructing the museum building and this ongoing project that will be open to the public.

 

As part of our fundraising efforts, we are hosting the Donald’s Fire Haven Memorial Golf Tournament on September 19th, 2025, at the Meadowlands Country Club.  We are seeking sponsors and teams to support this endeavor.   We invite you to be a part of the preservation of firefighting history by being a corporate sponsor and/or hosting a team.  The attached forms describe the different levels of sponsorship and tournament information.  We hope you will consider a sponsorship level and/or playing in this tournament. We also give out goody bags for the golfers so if you have anything you would like to put in them.

 

This is our 5th year of the Tournament and we look forward to it being successful again.
